I was born and raised in Paphos where I graduated from the high school of St. Neophytou in 2002. After completing my military service I began my studies at the medical school of Athens. After graduating in 2010 and learning the German language, I started the specialty of General Surgery in Germany gaining experience in various hospitals. I would like to make a special mention to Dr. Wilke, one of Germany’s leading surgeons in the treatment of complex postoperative hernias, as well as professors Mr. Köninger and Mr. Prenzel, who during our collaboration at Klinikum Stuttgart and St. Elisabeth Hospital Bonn respectively they introduced me to minimally invasive surgical techniques as well as to the treatment of difficult oncological cases of the digestive system. From 2022 and until the end of 2023 when I made the decision to repatriate I was the leading surgeon of the departments for abdominal wall Hernias and oncological surgery of the large intestine.
